Vicki Hornbostel

TickNET Project Coordinator

Vicki is the TickNET project coordinator for the WCSU Tick Lab, overseeing the 4-Poster pilot study, Tick Exposure Field Study (TEFS), and the Backyard Behavior Study, aimed at understanding and reducing risk of backyard tick encounters. 

In 2018, Vicki joined the WCSU Tick Lab as a research assistant coordinating the development of educational material for an EPA-funded Spray Safe, Play Safe project. She holds an M.E.S. in Environmental Science and Forestry from Yale University.  Vicki previously worked on tick ecology projects as a research assistant at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, NY.

 Vicki is also an avid gardener and loves to exercise!
